Brief- To re-design "The Silk Road Suite" CD cover
Solution - I took photos of blue silk and used thread to create the words The Silk Road Suite I also used thread to symbolise the route from China to the west
Distribution - All around the world
With this project I had to redesign a any CD cover. I chose the "Silk Road" by Kitaro. First I took a photo of blue silk for the background, and then I printed out the letters and I used some embroidery thread to stick onto the letters. I also used embroidery thread to stick onto paper to show the map of the Silk Road as it goes east to west and as it branches out. Then I scanned in the name and with the “Magic Wand” I selected the background and knocked it out. I imported the photo of the blue silk and realigned all the layers, saved it as a jpg. I printed it out to scale and placed the CD cover and took photos of it at different angles.
